This afternoon we went to the National Cathedral to hear the Joy of Christmas concert. They didn’t do it in 2020 because of COVID. The last time we went to the concert I had my heart attack. It was nice to be back there without that happening. The music was beautiful and perfect for the Christmas season. After the concert we went out to dinner and then walked around the neighborhood to see the Christmas lights. It was a wonderful evening.
Today I joined the retirement meet up group I join at the National City Christian Church to hear a pipe organ music concert. There were about 30 guys who attended. The church was gorgeous and the organ went across the back and the front of the church. The concert only lasted about 30 mins. The music made me think of scary movies but I don’t think it was supposed to. I enjoyed it though. It’s always fun to get out of the house and join the group at events like this.
Tonight we went to our last summer concert at Wolf Trap. We saw Sting. It was a great concert and the weather was perfect. We sang along to all the songs we knew. He’s looking pretty good and he still has his voice. We really enjoyed the concert!
Today we went to the Joy of Christmas concert at the National Cathedral. We go every year. The music and singing are always spectacular. I like singing along to the Carols. We usually go to dinner right after but we had a wine tasting to get to this evening.
I walked a total of 3.44 miles today. No treadmill.
This evening we went to Tarara Winery for their last concert of the season. The band was called The Reflex, an 80’s tribute band. We totally enjoyed the music. I was just singing along. Of course we had some wine and food from the food trucks. It was a good evening.
