Happy 4th of July!

We decided not to go anywhere for the 4th. Many of the fireworks displays have been cancelled. They don’t want large groups of people together spreading the Covid 19 virus around. We just stayed home and had our usual meal. This is my husband’s plate because I would never eat the beans. 😂 We also got a small cake from the grocery store. A simple 4th.

New Year’s Eve

We usually have a decent crowd for our annual New Year’s Eve dinners but this year we were a small group. For dinner it was just our friends Michael and Kevin. Later the Dails joined us for the new year. We rang in the new year with bubbles and the ball drop on TV. Here’s to a great 2020! Let’s hope for some big changes this year!

Happy Thanksgiving

My husband’s parents came in town on Tuesday and are staying until next Wednesday. They are here to help us celebrate Thanksgiving and to visit in general. Last night we went out to dinner since we’d be cooking most of the day today. My husband and his mother did the cooking today. We had turkey and all the usual side dishes. My plate was mostly white. I had turkey, mashed potatoes, dinner rolls and the only bit of color was from the canned cranberry sauce. This is the only time of the year that I eat the stuff. I do love it. We also had a few bottles of wine to enjoy with the meal and before and after the meal. 🍷 🦃

Here’s the turkey almost done.
