National Christmas Tree

This evening we went downtown to see the National Christmas Tree. I haven’t done that in probably 20 years! The tree was beautiful. It was a little chilly but worth it to see it this year. We also walked a few blocks to the White House to see how it was decorated.

On the way home we walked by the National Cathedral to see the colorful projections on the building. It was beautiful!

Joy of Christmas Concert

This afternoon we went to the National Cathedral to hear the Joy of Christmas concert. They didn’t do it in 2020 because of COVID. The last time we went to the concert I had my heart attack. It was nice to be back there without that happening. The music was beautiful and perfect for the Christmas season. After the concert we went out to dinner and then walked around the neighborhood to see the Christmas lights. It was a wonderful evening.

Christmas Village

I spent most of the day today going to the storage unit to get all the boxes for the Christmas village. I was able to set it up and decorate what needed to be decorated. I had to fix a few lights that were out but it’s all fixed and set up. Gorgeous as usual.

Christmas Tree Up

With the help of my husband’s parents we picked out a beautiful tree this morning. We spent the rest of the day decorating the tree and everything else in the house it seems. We always say it’s the best one we’ve ever gotten. It’s beautiful!

Happy Thanksgiving!

My husband’s parents came to visit for Thanksgiving a few days ago. Today he and his mom spent hours in the kitchen making dinner for the four of us. We had roasted chicken instead of turkey. Everything was delicious! I even remembered to have the canned cranberry sauce! I was the only one who ate it though. hahaha
