Bird Count Begins Again

Each year I start my bird count over. Last year I ended with 52 birds photographed. I hope to get past that number this year. My husband and I went out for a walk today and I photographed three birds. It’s not much but it’s a start for the new year.

#1 European Starling

#2 Sparrow

#3 American Crow

Cedar Waxwing

This morning I heard a different bird sound out our bedroom window. I looked out and saw this group of Cedar Waxwings in a tree. I ran and got my big camera with the big lens and captured this photo. Another bird to add to the list!

#35 Cedar Waxwing

Mallard

This evening we went to dinner at a restaurant by the Potomac River in Georgetown. While walking along the river we saw lots of birds and ducks. I didn’t have my big camera but I did have my iPhone. I took this picture of a Mallard swimming along. It’s not the best photo but it is another bird to add to the list.
