Finally an Outside Walk

This year it seems like winter would never end. I think most of the country has felt that way. Today it got up to 60 degrees and I decided to get outside to walk. I’ve been walking indoors since probably December. I walked up to the track at AU and went around the track several times and then walked home. I walked a total of 3.46 miles! I didn’t think I’d be able to do that much since I haven’t walked outside in so long but I did! I’m very proud of myself. It was absolutely beautiful outside today.

Visiting My Father

Today I drove down to Charlottesville, Virginia to visit my dad. I haven’t seen him in several months so it was time for a check in to see how he is doing. I found that he is doing pretty well. He has moved into the independent section of his Assisted Living Facility. He’s in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit. He’s got lots of space. He’s got the place set up pretty nice. He is moving very slow and sometimes calls my by my brother’s name but besides that, he’s in pretty good shape. I took him to Walmart and got a bunch of stuff. Then we went to lunch. Then to his bank and then back to the facility. He was very tired by the time we got home. We spent the day out and that tired him out.

An overall 3.64 miles today.

Wedding Day

Today was the wedding! My sister and I were the only family members who showed up for the wedding. That was very disappointing to my brother and his daughter. Even so, we did have a great time and the wedding was very special for my niece. I thought it was a lovely wedding. Here are the bride and groom and then a picture of my twin brother, my sister and me.

Time For A Wedding!

My niece is getting married tomorrow. My husband and I drove to Columbus, Ohio today to attend the wedding. This evening we went out to dinner with my sister and her family. Here we are at dinner. My husband used my phone to take the picture. That’s why he’s not in the picture. We had a great time catching up and talking about the upcoming wedding.

I walked 1.18 miles today.

New Lens

Today I posted a video about a new camera lens I got. I was trying to take a portrait of my husband with the new lens to show how it makes the background unfocused and this is the look I got on his face. Check out the video below the picture.
