I may be a little more anti-apple these days but those new iMacs really do appeal to me. That fusion drive is just what I want. I rarely if ever need a DVD writer and I already have a plug in DVD drive (I use it for region 1 DVDs and my main drive was for Region 2 DVDs).
As for your mixer, you can get an audio in to USB adapter for very little money, around $15, obviously the more you pay the more bells and whistles and the higher quality but its podcasting, not music ripping so the quality I doubt would be any different from what you have now.
