4th of July

Oops…June went by without much of a post but here we are in July. Tonight we went up to the Cathedral to see the National Fireworks. We’ve never seen them live before. The weather was nice so we decided to see if we could find a place to see them. There were about a million people up there but we were able to squeeze into a spot and see the fireworks. I took a ton of pictures but none really came out decent. It was hard to get a good angle. Here’s the only one that I thought was decent.

Happy 4th of July!

We decided not to go anywhere for the 4th. Many of the fireworks displays have been cancelled. They don’t want large groups of people together spreading the Covid 19 virus around. We just stayed home and had our usual meal. This is my husband’s plate because I would never eat the beans. 😂 We also got a small cake from the grocery store. A simple 4th.

Happy 4th!

This evening we went to dinner with the Dails. We went to Cafe Deluxe. We had a few bottles of wine and a great meal. Then we walked down to the Cathedral parking lot and watched some of the fireworks. We just missed the national ones but other jurisdictions were still doing fireworks so we could see those. It was very humid!

Walked a total of 3.68 miles today.

4th of July

Last night we went to dinner at the Dails’ house. They made a traditional 4th of July meal of hamburgers and hotdogs. Of course I had one of each. We had a great time enjoying wine and catching up with everyone. It was raining when the fireworks started so only the young ones went to watch and the rest of us stayed inside and had another glass of wine. It was a fun evening!
