New Birds!

Lately I’ve taken some more pictures of birds. I just updated my bird page with these new birds.

#14 Cedar Waxwing

#13 Northern Mockingbird

#12 Cardinal

#11 Cooper’s Hawk

#10 Downy Woodpecker

#9 American Robin

I walked 2.50 miles outside while bird watching today.

2017 Bird Count

I’m determined to increase the number of birds I photograph in 2017. In 2016 I only photographed 41 different birds. It was a busy year and I didn’t have much time to go bird watching. 2017 will be different. I will have much more time in the second half of this year to photograph birds.

On this first day of 2017 I went bird watching and was able to capture five birds. They were:

#5 Downy Woodpecker

#4 Cardinal

#3 American Crow

#2 White Throated Sparrow

#1 Tufted Titmouse

New Bird at the Feeder

On Saturday morning I was watching the bird feeder and saw a Downy Woodpecker getting some seeds. That was the first time I’ve ever seen a Downy Woodpecker actually at the feeder. I also saw an American Goldfinch with winter plumage visiting the feeder. I know it’s the time of the year I’ll be seeing less and less visitors at the feeder, but I thought that was cool to see the Downy Woodpecker and the winter plumage American Goldfinch. Here are some pictures.
