Lunch in the Bishop’s Garden

It was a beautiful day today. We decided to walk up to the National Cathedral and have lunch at the Bishop’s Garden. It was beautiful as usual. We were able to go inside the cathedral as well. It’s been closed for awhile because of COVID. Not sure why they had it open today. Anyway, I took a beautiful picture of the sun shining through the stained glass windows. Gorgeous!

White Doves

This evening we went to the National Cathedral to see “les colombes” a multimedia art installation by Michael Pendry. “les colombes” means white dove in French. It was so cool to see the flock of doves hanging from the ceiling of the cathedral. We were masked and they limited the amount of people who could go in at a time but it was still cool to see it in person.

Sad Day

Today the death toll from the COVID 19 pandemic reached 400,000. That is just crazy. When will it stop? Who knows. This evening the bell at the National Cathedral was rang 400 times. We went up there to see the event. It was so quiet. On the cathedral they projected “Lord hear our prayer” and the number 400,000.

Concert Walk

Today I only walked .55 miles. This is because we were so busy doing other things that I got all my exercise in without having to do a specific workout. We went to the Joy of Christmas concert at the National Cathedral. We then went to dinner at Cafe Deluxe. The concert was wonderful and we had a great time. Here we are at the concert.
