No Walking

Today I did not do any walking. We traveled to Warrenton to stay over so that we could be up early tomorrow morning for harvest at Gray Ghost Vineyards. We went to dinner tonight and Warren was excited about being at Clair’s At The Depot for dinner.

I did get on the scale this morning though and see that I’m done to 209. Since October last year I’ve lost 18 pounds. yay! Next goal is to be under 200.

Cool Walk

It was quite cool this morning. It was 58 degrees! I loved it. The girls track team was on the track this morning but they were nice enough to leave one lane for the walkers. I walked 3.17 miles! I can’t remember but that might be the farthest I’ve walked on the track. It was a good walk today! The sun looked cool on this building So I had to take a shot.

Last night we went to see Sting at Wolftrap. It was a great concert. Of course you can’t take a close up picture from far away on the iPhone. Here’s the best I could do but you get the idea.

Gorgeous Day

The weather was perfect today! But the track team was on the track at AU so I couldn’t walk on the track. I ended up walking around the neighborhood. I walked 2.81 miles today. I was up early enough to see the sun through he trees. Here’s a cool shot of the sun and the trees.

Rainy Day

It was raining outside today. I had to walk inside. As you have read before, I hate walking inside. So I went out to lunch with a friend first and then walked inside. I walked 2.52 miles up and down the halls and stairwells. Here’s a shot of the rain while out to lunch.

Beautiful Sunrise

This morning I had to have some blood work so I got up extra early and went to get my blood taken. On the way home I saw this beautiful sunrise. I instantly got an amazing feeling in my body. This is also the first day of the rest of my life. I say that because I finally realized it’s time to stop smoking. After my shower this morning I slapped on the nicotine patch and plan to use it as long as I need to to get past the nasty habit. I had my last smokey treat at 10:20 AM.

After my blood work this morning, I went right to the track at AU and walked 3.10 miles. While there the sky filled with clouds and I snapped a picture. Later a young gazelle came onto the track and ran very fast past me. Oh to see the young ones.
