Today we went to Linden Vineyards for their last cellar tasting of the year. The tasting was delicious and we enjoyed all the wines. Before going in, we noticed their sunflower garden. It was filled with sunflowers. It was gorgeous! I had to get a close up of course.
Tonight we went to our last summer concert at Wolf Trap. We saw Sting. It was a great concert and the weather was perfect. We sang along to all the songs we knew. He’s looking pretty good and he still has his voice. We really enjoyed the concert!
Today we went to Walsh Family Winery and Vineyards. We met our friend Kurt there. Kurt’s wife died back in July so we are trying to stay in touch with him and make sure he gets out and does things. It was good to spend some time with Kurt and catch up on what he’s doing and how he’s feeling. And it was good to taste the wines too. We left with half a case of wine. We do enjoy their wines.
I got back from New Orleans yesterday. We decided to have date night tonight. We went to Chef Geoff’s right up the street. We had a nice time catching up and chatting about what’s going on as well as my trips to Knoxville and New Orleans. We had a very nice date night.
After spending 5 days in Knoxville, I drove down to New Orleans for a gay podcasting expo, Pride48. I went last year and had a great time. I’ve had a great time this year too. I met some new people and podcasted live on Friday night. Today was the last day and I had a lot of goodbyes to say.
