New Things

We’ve had some bad luck lately. Earlier this week we got notification that there was a leak in our bathroom that was dripping into the bathroom below us. So we had to have a plumber come in today to figure it out. Turns out we needed a new toilet. The wax ring was supposedly leaking and the toilet was too old to fix. Luckily they had one on the truck and were able to fix it pretty quickly.

Last weekend our refrigerator stopped working. The top park was freezing everything to extremes and the lower part wasn’t cooling at all. So we got online and found out that Bray and Scarf was letting people shop with an appointment. We made an appointment for Sunday. We put our masks on and went. There were only two other customers in the store. We were able to buy a new fridge. It was delivered today while the plumber was fixing the toilet. The fridge was a bit wider than the space for it. One thing we didn’t do was measure the space. SO…I had cut a half inch off the countertop and take the molding off at the floor so it would fit. It’s a tight fit. It’s SO close to the wall. I’m just glad it’s done.

So Sad

On my walk today I noticed lots of masks and rubber gloves on the ground. I took pictures of some. It’s amazing how people will just drop them not he ground. Maybe some were by accident but the others should have put them in trash cans. It’s getting to be a mess in our neighborhood. I’m walking a few miles a day now and when I see these, I get sad.

Getting Outside

We walked up to the cathedral today to check out the garden and see the pretty things growing. We were sure to wear masks…and once again my husband has his on backwards. I’m sure he’ll learn soon. Very few other people had masks on. I think more people are going to need to wear masks to help others from getting the virus.

The new cases of the virus are going down a little. Only 29,000 new cases today.
