Country Connectivity

This weekend the boyfriend and I are off to Charlottesville to visit my father and to visit a few wineries in the area. We aren’t leaving until Sunday. We thought we’d take advantage of having Monday off for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. During our trip we will think about the contributions he’s made to our countries history and to the civil rights of everyone.

We have plans to visit one of our favorite wineries, Gray Ghost, tomorrow. It will be our first winery visit in 2007. The boyfriend has some papers to grade so we plan on sitting in their loft area while enjoying some wine while the boyfriend gets some work done. I’m sure I’ll do something on the computer since I always take it with me. However, I won’t be able to connect to the internet because I know they don’t have wireless connectivity at the winery.

And what’s up with the lack of connectivity out in the country? Don’t this country people need to be connected at some point? What are they waiting for? I would like to be able to open my laptop anywhere in the country and be able to get a connection. Oh well. In time, I’m sure.
