Great Falls

Today my friend Cameron and I went on a little hike. We started out at Riverbend Park which is a county park. It’s a few miles north of Great Falls. We walked around Riverbend for awhile and then began our walk towards Great Falls. There is a nice trail to walk on towards Great Falls. It follows the Potomac River. You can hear the water flowing downstream. Along the way you can see all kinds of nature. We saw geese and ducks. We saw lots of different trees and the shelf fungus growing on the trees. I took several pictures of all of the things we saw. I also took several photos of Cameron to post on his profiles. He needed some newer pictures to post. When we got down to the falls, we spent lots of time climbing on the rocks and looking at the scenery. We then found a nice rock to sit on to take a break. I brought some water and granola bars for a snack. We talked about all kinds of things. I was probably talking too much about W. The weather was a little chilly out today so after our hands got cold enough, we decided to move on and start the walk back to Riverbend. We took in the scenery again but from a different view on the way back. I wore my pedometer on our hike and reported that we walked 4.5 miles. Even though it was cloudy and a little chilly, it was a nice hike. I enjoyed the scenery and I always take lots of photos. These are just a few.
