Wine Tasting

I went to W.'s last night. We went to Pearsons on Wisconsin Ave. in Georgetown and tasted some more wines. We mostly tasted Chardonnays. I found them too dry and too oaky for my tastes. W. loves them though. We also tasted some reds but I can't remember exactly which ones we tasted. My wine collection has dwindled since the last time we went to Pearsons so I decided to get a few bottles. I bought a 2003 Alois Lageder Pinot Bianco, a 2003 Echelon Piont Noir, and a 2003 Jewel Viognier. I'm particular to the Pinot Bianco and the Viognier so I know I'll be enjoying these.

After tasting and shopping at Pearsons, W. then made me the most delicious dinner. He took chicken breasts and pounded them thin. Then he added lots of spices and cooked it in a fry pan. I'm not sure all he did to it but it was simply delicious! He also had cooked carrots (which I'm embarrassed to say I didn't eat) and some angel hair pasta. We had a nice Gray Ghost Chardonnay with the meal. It was very nice. He's such a good cook and a wine expert.

We're getting together again tonight and then tomorrow morning we're planning a shoot at the National Cathedral. I haven't been there in many years but he tells me they have a nice garden that would make a great back drop to some period photos. He plans on wearing some clothes that should invoke the renaissance. I plan to use the antique photo technique to make the photos look really old. I think we'll get some great photos.
