Today is the 10th anniversary of the Apple Store. The very first store was opened in Tysons Corner Center in McLean Virginia. Virginia may be backwards socially but we got the very first store because of the rich people who live in the area. I live about 2 minutes from Tysons Corner. I remember being in line opening day of this store. I think I was #49 in line. I didn’t buy anything that day but wanted to get the free t-shirt (which is long gone) and see all the great things at the store. I’ve have visited this store hundreds of times over the years and bought lots of stuff. I remember being so excited that we got the very first Apple Store. Here’s a video of Steve Jobs introducing the store. The store has been renovated a few times since then so it barely looks like that now. Doesn’t it make you just want to go in and buy something?
And I’m sure that you are one of the few who kept it afloat and successful, my Apple Pie Friend!
