I’m determined to increase the number of birds I photograph in 2017. In 2016 I only photographed 41 different birds. It was a busy year and I didn’t have much time to go bird watching. 2017 will be different. I will have much more time in the second half of this year to photograph birds.

January 1st is the beginning of a new year and the beginning of a new bird count. I keep track of the birds I’ve seen and photographed in the year. Today I began my count by photographing 8 birds. Last year I ended with only 45 birds but I hope to do much better this year. The birds I saw today are:
