Lewis over at Spirit of Saint Lewis reached 100,000 hits today. My blog is almost there. Right this minute the counter sits on 99,947. It’s taken five years to get here. I think it only took him like 2 years or something like that. He’s so much more popular than I am. hehehe Now if I could only have this bill when I reach 100,000.

Showerhead

One of the things I’ve done on my vacation was change the shower head in my bathroom. I’ve been looking for a new one for awhile and have gone through three different ones to find one that I liked. I have great water pressure in my shower but the spray pattern hasn’t been up to my liking lately. I bought three different shower heads and tested them all and returned two. I finally found the Moen Brushed Nickel Showerhead at Bed Bath and Beyond. Since I had a gift card, it didn’t cost me too much. It was well worth it. I love this thing. I know, I know….how do you get all excited about a showerhead but the shower I took this morning was so nice….the water spray was wide and it felt good hitting my body. I’m weird, I know. I mean, there are so many other things to be thinking about. I do like this showerhead though and glad that the search is over. If you’re looking for a new showerhead, consider Moen. Just sayin’.

Vacation Can Begin

Today was the last day of school for the year. Now my holiday vacation can begin. It didn't start all that great. Right after the bell rang at school today I got a call from the office telling me my car had been hit in the parking lot by a parent. I got someone to cover my class while I went up to meet the mother and find out about my car. Turns out she was just parked a bit too close and scraped the right front corner of my car. There are a few big scrapes and there is some paint missing but there are no dents or major damage. I was glad she stayed and gave me her insurance information. It wasn't as bad as I was fearing. Of course the worst part is now I have to call the insurance company and deal with getting it fixed. So it's more of a hassle then anything else.

On top of that, the boyfriend left for New Orleans today. He has arrived safely and will be there until next Monday. I already miss him. I'm sure he'll have a great time visiting with his family. I have plenty of things planned to keep me busy while he's gone.

I'm going to watch a lot of holiday movies and tidy up my websites and give my house a good cleaning….that includes taking down all the holiday decorations later this week. I actually enjoy having the time doing these types of things while I'm on vacation.

Happy Holidays!
