Happy March! With the crazy weather we've had so far this winter with doses of warm, snow, rain, wind, etc. I am happy to say that in my area March came in like a lamb. It was a very nice day today. It started out cloudy but by 9:00 AM the sun was breaking through and it warmed up to the high 40s. Let's hope this is a good indication that Spring is on the way. While I would love another snow day, I'm ready for the weather to get back to normal.

We had a mix of wintery weather last night. We got about 3 inches of snow and some sleet and freezing rain on top of that. It was just enough to get me out of work today. Yeah! 3 day weekend! The boyfriend is coming over later today and we are going to decorate my Christmas tree. We'll listen to Christmas music, deocrate the tree, and enjoy some wine and time together. And then tomorrow we are going to a holiday concert at the National Cathedral. Should be a nice weekend.

It was just announced that the Olympics will be in London in 2012. They haven’t lost a bid once. They had the Olympics in 1908 and 1948. I haven’t been a big Olympics watcher since the 1984 games. I guess it’s a much bigger thing when it’s held in your home country. 2012 is a long way off. Maybe by then I’ll be back to watching them. I watched some of the Salt Lake games in 2002 but very little of the games in Athens last year. I’m just not into sports but I do enjoy the cultural stories and historical pieces the networks show during the Olympics. I might tune in in 2012.

I can’t keep my eyes open but I can’t close my eyes. I dragged my ass out of bed this morning at 4:30 to drive my mother to the senior’s center to catch a bus for a day trip. When I got back I tried to go back to sleep but couldn’t. I just tossed and turned and couldn’t fall back asleep. I’ve been laying on the couch for the last hour and a half drifting in and out of sleep. I know it will hit me around 1 in the afternoon and I’ll sleep for like 3 hours. I’m such a good son.
