To Lube or Not To Lube

On Saturday I received the latest issue of OUT magazine in the mail. I was busy all day Saturday so I didn’t have time to check it out. Last night I had some time to look through it and read some of the articles. There was a decent article about David Sedaris and his latest book “Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim.” I’ll definitely have to get it. I’ve enjoyed a few of his books before so I’m sure I’ll enjoy this one. I continued to flip through the magazine when I came upon a little black envelope. It was a free sample of Wet Platinum. I pulled it out and set it aside. I then finished looking through the magazine.

Later I was cleaning up things around my desk and found the Wet sample. Knowing that May is National Masturbation Month, I decided to celebrate. I had to decide if I was going to try the sample or go dry. Normally I’m a dry kinda guy. I mean, I hate getting all messy unless I’m going to get in the shower right after. Most of the time though, it’s a quick yank into some tissues before bed. But this time I had a reason to get messy. I wanted to check out this Wet sample. So I popped in some porn and ripped open the little black sample. Hmm…this kinda feels good. Just as they advertised, it didn’t get sticky. It didn’t dry out. It was actually very nice. I could keep this stuff going for quite a long time. But of course I really couldn’t. Before long the celebration came to an orgasmic end. Very nice.

From this little celebration and experimentation with the Wet sample comes a question. Do you prefer to lube or not to lube? The vast majority of my masturbatory activities have been dry ones. I’ve had the occasional lube session when I knew I would be jumping right into the shower but most of the time I’m dry. What do you prefer? To lube or not to lube?

Fictitious Blogging

I may be a little obsessed with reading blogs lately. I read some 30 blogs everyday. Not all of them post something new everyday but I like to read what’s new when something is posted. I’ve commented before that I live vicariously through other blogs because I have no life. It seems like some have a much more interesting life then myself.

I find other blogs, as I’m sure others do as well, by clicking on the links the others post on their blogs. I do this often to see what they find interesting. If I enjoy their blog and they have a link to another blog they find interesting, I might find it interesting as well. That is how I’ve created the list of blogs I enjoy reading. Some are boing and some are interesting. The ones I find most interesting are the ones that write about themselves and what’s going on in their lives. I do read the political ones as well but I don’t find them as interesting. Any blogs that are topic specific I stay away from….blogs just about food or blogs just about broadway shows, etc.

So I’m clicking on random links on someone’s blog and run across another blog that I start reading. I spend some time reading the posts on the main page and then read the “about me” part. Then go to the archives and read a few posts there. The more I read this blog the more I think it’s completely made up. I can’t believe that this person has been all the places they talk about, know all the people they say they know, and do all the things they say they do. I should be clear here and say I’m not suggesting that this blog is fictitious, it just reads that way to me.

Anyway, reading so much of this blog and feeling the way I did after reading it, I began to wonder if there are blogs out there that are completely made up. Is there such a thing? I recently heard about a fake website created simply to promote the new movie “Godsend”. I wonder if people create fake blogs. Why would you do that? Would you need to create a completely different life for yourself because yours is so pathetic? I know I don’t have a life but I wouldn’t even think of making things up so that my blog would be popular. I just don’t get it.

The point of this post is not to accuse anyone of creating stories to be a more popular blogger, it is to ponder the question and wonder out loud about the possibility of fake blogs. I simply wonder if there are such things.

Storm

At 6:57 PM the sky began to change. The sun became muted. The gray clouds started sliding in from the west. It was one of those early summer, late day thunderstorms. Standing on the balcony I could see the leaves of the trees turn upside down. My grandmother used to say that meant it was going to rain. The wind had picked up and was tossing around the freshly cut blades of grass and bits of debris in the parking lot. Soon the deep gray clouds had covered the sky and blocked out the sun. The storm was here. Large, heavy raindrops slowly fell from the swollen clouds. They could no longer hold the moisture accumulated from the humid day. Suddenly a flash of bright light streaked across the sky. Within seconds the sound was deafening. Thunder had rumbled through the clouds and left a thud on everything solid, like you can feel the heavy bass from a nice sound system. And then it happened. Every after market car alarm in the parking lot of the low income apartments within sight of my balcony began to go off. Instantly the fond memories of an early summer, late day thunderstorm were ruined.

Possible Reasons Why Brad Has Not Stayed In Touch

On March 30th, Brad told me he didn’t want to be in a relationship and didn’t think he had the time to devote to one. He just wanted to be friends that go out. So I said fine. We’ll be friends that go out from time to time. Since then I’ve seen him once. We went out to lunch while I was on Spring Break. We e-mailed and talked on the phone a few times. Then on April 18th, he called to go out to dinner but my brother was visiting so I couldn’t go. I called him the next day to apologize for not being able to go to dinner. He wasn’t home so I left a message. That was the last time I heard his voice. Haven’t gotten a call or an e-mail from him. I guess he doesn’t want to be friends after all. I hope he has a nice life. Here are some possible reasons why Brad hasn’t called or e-mailed.

1. He met someone new and doesn’t have time to spend with friends.

2. He realized he’s straight and is dating a woman.

3. He is so swamped at work that he doesn’t have time to call or e-mail.

4. He never wanted to be friends in the first place.

5. He has been stuck under a heavy piece of furniture for two weeks and has been unable to call or e-mail.

Dry Cleaners

I went to pick up my shirts this morning at my dry cleaners. A month or so ago they raised the price from 99 cents a shirt to $1.25 a shirt. And they didn’t advertise the price hike. When I went to pick up my shirts the asian guy said, “Oh, we raised the price.” I said, “You just lost a customer.” Then that day I got some coupons in the mail for their cleaners for 95 cents a shirt. So I decided to use the coupons and then find a new cleaner. So today when I went to pick up my shirts the asian lady started in on me about not bringing my dry cleaning to her store. Why don’t I bring my dry cleaning with my shirts. I told her I press my own pants and don’t have any other dry cleaning. She started to complain and say she only gets 50 cents on each shirt she cleans and she makes her money on dry cleaning. And that I was getting a really good deal and should think about bringing my pants in for cleaning. I said I do them myself. I couldn’t believe this woman was trying to intimidate me into giving her more business. If she doesn’t like the fact that she is only getting 50 cents on the 95 cents I’m paying for the shirts then she shouldn’t offer the damn coupon. I left there feeling really pissed off. I have already found another cleaners that offers 99 cent cleaning on shirts. The next time I take shirts, I’m starting at the new cleaners. I just thought I would use up the rest of my coupons but I don’t think it’s worth it now. Screw her. She just lost the measly 50 cents she was getting from my shirts. I think that is a horrible way to do business. Why is it so hard to find a decent cleaner that isn’t trying to take you to the cleaners?
