I haven’t updated the blog lately so I thought it was time. I took my computer to the Apple Store Genius Bar and they figured out that the graphics card was dead. So I had them replace it. I got the computer back last week and it’s back to working normally. Here’s a screen capture to show everything is back to normal.
In other news, last night we went to Wolf Trap to see Diana Ross in concert. It was amazing! I was really surprised at how good she sounds for her age. And she looked pretty good too. We were sitting on the lawn so we were pretty far from the stage. I took my zoom lens with me and was able to get a few decent pictures of her. She changed clothes like six times. Here are the best pictures of at least four of her outfits. We had a great time!

First Summer Concert
Last night we went to see the Go Go’s in concert. It was hot as hell but the music was great. It brought so many memories of the early 1980s. I was singing along to all the songs. We had a great time!
Wolftrap Concert
Tonight we went to see the Gipsy Kings at Wolftrap. It was warm! We had a great time enjoying the music and some wine.
Summer Concert
Tonight the boyfriend and I went to Wolf Trap to hear Natalie Cole. She was very good! We both thought this was probably the best concert we’ve heard this summer so far. She played a big mix of music. I really enjoyed the smooth jazz type songs and the one or two she sang from Unforgetable. She did some from her latest album and some from many years ago. We definitely enjoyed them all though.
For someone who is 57, she sings really well and looks amazing. We actually thought she was a bit skinny! The crowd was great too. It wasn’t too crowded at all and the weather was really nice once the sun went down.
We have a few more concerts this summer that I’m sure we’ll enjoy but maybe not as much as this one.

Summer Concert
Last night the boyfriend and I went to the National Cathedral to hear the Turtle Island Quartet preform many songs from their new CD “A Love Supreme” The Music of John Coltrane. We loved the music they preformed. Many of the pieces we recognized and found ourselves tapping our feet. This quartet has been around since the late 70’s and have a couple of CD’s out. . Besides the beautiful music, a couple of them are quite cute…especially the second one from the left. Isn’t he cute? Anyway, our Summer Concerts are turning out to be wonderful and we look forward to the others we have planned later this summer.
