The Oscars!

I spent the last few days trying to watch as many Best Picture nominees before the Oscars. I was able to watch 6 of the 8 movies. Here are the ones I watched:

None of the ones I saw won the Best Picture Oscar. It was Green Book. Of course, I need to see that one now. Also, I need to see Vice and The Favourite, the others nominated for Best Picture.

I guessed 13 out of 20 correct. Here are some other winners:

Best Actor: Rami Malek for Bohemian Rhapsody
Best Actress: Olivia Colman for The Favourite
Best Supporting Actor: Mahershala Ali for Green Book
Best Supporting Actress: Regina King for If Beale Street Could Talk
Best Director: Alfonso Cuaron for Roma

I watched the entire show and loved it! But then again I love movies and the Oscars so of course I would watch it and enjoy it.

I walked a total of 1.99 miles today.

Dinner Party

This evening we had a dinner party. We had some new friends join some old friends for food and wine. As usual, we had a great time chatting and carrying on. The food was delicious and the wines were inebriating. The last guests didn’t leave until 2:15 AM. We had a great time.

I walked a total of 2.36 miles today.

The Oscars Are Coming

I spent most of the day watching movies that have been nominated for an Oscar for best picture. The last movie I watched was A Star is Born with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. I thought she did a great job at acting and at singing all the songs. Bradley was okay at both. I’m not sure if this one will win an Oscar or not. We’ll see.

I did make time to walk today. I walked a total of 2.47 miles with .80 on the treadmill.

Lunch With Carol

Today I had lunch with my dear friend Carol. We went to Silver Dinner near Tysons Corner. It was nice to catch up with her and find out how she is doing. She’s going through some medical issues and I wanted to see how she was doing. No picture today though.

I walked a total of 2.47 miles with 1.35 on the treadmill.

Happy Anniversary!

Today is our 4th anniversary. We got married 4 years ago today. But we’ve been together for 14 years. This evening we went out to dinner for both date night and for our anniversary. We had a wonderful meal and a great bottle of wine. Happy anniversary to us!

It also snowed today. It was only about 3 inches but it was enough for my husband to get out of work.

Because of the snow and our anniversary, I only walked 1.09 miles today.
