Very Busy Day!

I’ve had a very busy day today. I started out early this morning by taking my friend Michael to get his colonoscopy. He was about 4 years late but he got it done and everything was fine.

Then I went to the NRA headquarters and joined the protest group to protest agains their gun policies. I’ve done this a few times now and feel like it helps. It makes me feel good that I’m actually doing something and protesting against something I detest. Jennifer Wexton, who won the primary to run against Barbara Comstock was at the protest and spoke.

This evening we went to Wolf Trap to see Harry Connick Jr. It was a good show but I was tired by the end of the evening.

I did walk 2.78 miles throughout the day.

Out To Lunch

Today I met my friend Carol for lunch. We went to Silver Diner. I love the food at that place. I had an omelette with bacon and cheese. Yum! We also had small sundae’s for dessert. It’s always fun catching up with Carol!

Walked 2.12 miles today.

Dinner With Friends

Tonight we met the Dails at Chef Geoff’s for dinner. We celebrated my birthday and caught up with them. We haven’t seen them in awhile and it was great to have their kids join us for dinner. Afterwords we went to Al Dente for some more wine and dessert. It was fun!

Old Friends

Today we drove to Charlottesville for the weekend. We are visiting wineries and visiting my father. Today we meet an old friend of mine at a new winery. I haven’t seen Diane for like 6 years. We were colleagues and used to have so much fun at work. She retired and moved away. She then relocated with her husband to the Charlottesville area. We made plans to meet at a winery. It was so much fun catching up with her. We were so silly and remembering old times. I loved seeing her. I hope it’s not as long until the next time I see her.

Today I walked 2.11 miles today.

Kreeger Museum

So recently I joined a group on MeetUp for guys who are gay and retired and free during the day. We get together for lunches, museums, walks, etc. Today a group of them came to my house for lunch and then we went to the Kreeger Museum after lunch. It’s a private museum and small but I enjoyed the paintings and sculptures we saw. We had a good time and it was nice getting to know some more members of the group.

I walked 3.45 miles today.
