Sad Day

Today the Supreme Court is expected to vote on Bret Kavanaugh’s nomination. Here is the headline on the Washington Post this morning:

We are in for some bad times to come with this. I just feel it. I did read an excellent opinion piece on the Washington Post that was spot on. I love it! Check it out here.

Update: This afternoon they voted to bring it to the floor. Split down party lines of course. But Jeff Flake asked for a one week delay to have the FBI do an investigation on the allegations against Kavanaugh. We’ll see how that goes.

Finally blue sky! I was able to get outside and do my walking today. I walked 2.08 miles using the exercise app.

Victoria, British Columbia

Today we sailed to Victoria, British Columbia. We only had a few hours for an excursion. We went on a horse trolley ride around the city. After that we walked along the pier and got some nice pictures. It was a beautiful city and we had wonderful weather for the early evening photos.

We got one picture of us all together on the last night of the cruise.

We did a lot of walking again today. We walked a total of 6.46 miles.

Glacier Bay

Today we sailed into Glacier Bay. I think this was the best part of the trip. It was so beautiful. The views were breath taking. On the way to the bay, we saw a humpback whale. We had such amazing views today!

Even though we spent the day on the ship, I still walked a total of 4.10 miles.

Funny Hat

This evening we went to Wolf Trap to see Bruce Hornsby. It was SO hot!!! The hottest concert we’ve had yet this summer. I was miserable. While we waited for the sun to go down, I wore this hat. It’s supposed to be used for rain but I used it to block to sun from burning my neck and heating up my head. It worked but people on social media made fun of me. No biggie. I like the attention. ha ha The concert was pretty good but we left before the very end.

I only walked 1 mile indoors today.
