Tasting Wine

On the way home from Strasburg this morning, we decided to stop at Delaplane Cellars to taste the latest wines and see if we had a pickup. My husband is a club member and we never know if we have a pickup or not. Turns out we didn’t have a pickup.

I walked a total of 1.32 mile today.

New Winery

This evening we went to a new winery in Strasburg, Virginia. It’s called Star in the Valley. We were invited to go and taste their wines and see their tasting room. It was okay but we were disappointed when they charged us for a glass of wine. We thought they’d at least give us a glass of wine for driving all that way, giving them some press and feedback. Oh well.

I walked a total of 1.65 miles today.

Wineries and Friends

Today we met our friends Kurt and Carol at Delaplane Cellars winery. We caught up on what’s going on with each other and enjoyed some wine. We then went to Linden Vineyards and enjoyed a cellar tasting there. It’s always fun to spend time with Kurt and Carol.

I walked a total of 1.96 miles today.

Oh, and the groundhog did not see his shadow so Spring should be here soon.

Governor’s Case

Today is my brother’s birthday. Happy Birthday Tommy!

This evening we participated in a Twitter tasting of wines that are in this year’s Governor’s Case. The governor of Virginia (with the help of others) selects 12 wines to go into the case. Virginia Wine sent us the case. We tasted 6 different wines tonight and will finish the case next week. It was fun tasting all the wines and Tweeting our impressions of the wines.

I walked a total of 1.53 miles today.
