Today the boyfriend and I went to a barrel tasting at Prince Michel Winery in Leon, Virginia. We had a great time tasting the wines right from the barrel. I wasn’t as pleased with the taste of the wines from the barrel as the boyfriend was but then again, he has a better palate then I do. All the wines were really young and needed more time in the barrel.

After our barrel tasting, we enjoyed a glass of wine at the winery. I talked the boyfriend into playing a few games of checkers. He said he hadn’t played in awhile. I guess he was right. I beat him in two games. Here’s his reaction after the second game. We didn’t play a third game.
