The boyfriend and I went to Charlottesville to visit my father and some area wineries. All along the drive we saw lots of fall colors but they looked muted, or dry. You can really see the drought all across the state. We did see a few very brightly colored trees though. But overall, it’s just not the same this year. Here’s a picture of one beautifully colored tree that was in my father’s back yard. I took the picture in the early morning so you can still see the dew on the leaves. I think it’s beautiful.
