Missing Homer

I woke up an hour before Homer did this morning so that I would be ready for work in time to drop him off at the metro for his return trip home. He got up an hour later and amazingly, he was ready in about 30 minutes. I don’t know how he does it. I take forever and he can get ready in 30 minutes. And that included eating breakfast! (Sorry for the picture, Homer, I couldn’t resist.)

I dropped him off at the metro at 6:15 this morning. We hugged and kissed goodbye in front of a cab AND Homer grabbed my ass right in front of the cabbie! Of course it was HIS ass I should have been grabbing. Ah, good times.

Tonight I did a load of dark clothes. Turns out Homer mixes all this clothes together and doesn’t separate! Anyway, when the load was dry and I was folding the clothes, I came across a pair of socks that were not mine. Oh, a little memento from Homer’s visit. How those socks got in my laundry basket, I’ll never know. Maybe Homer left them behind on purpose. Or maybe they were left there on Sunday when I did a load of laundry for him. I thought I had gotten it all but maybe I forgot that one pair. Sorry, Homer. I’ll hold on to them until you return to DC or I make a trip out to Arizona. You’re welcome at my place anytime.

Bloggers are a special bunch of people. You follow a guy’s blog for a year and you learn so much about him. Meeting Homer was a treat. There were no awkward silences. We had no problems chatting or just hanging out. He’s a special guy. I’m glad I got to meet him and spend time with him. All the men in Arizona should be knocking down his door to get him.
