Field Trip

Today I met my friend Lynn downtown to go to the recently re-opened Smithsonian Arts + Industries Building. It was closed for what seems like forever for a renovation. I think it just re-opened yesterday. They only had the first floor open and it was filled with displays of past, present and future innovations. I wasn’t as impressed as I thought I would be. But I did have a fun time with Lynn. I’m already looking forward to the next field trip!

Celebrating Mom

The last few days I’ve been in Bethany Beach, Delaware. Almost all my family members gathered at a nice beach house to celebrate my mother. On Saturday we all walked down to the beach to spread my mother’s ashes. It was a very emotional gathering. She would be very pleased knowing that we all gathered together for the occasion.

While there my brother and drove down the road a bit and found the old beach house we rented for many years growing up. We were also able to have a few zoom calls with mom’s sisters and their families.

We did have a great time catching up, playing games and being silly. We celebrated some birthdays. We told stories from our childhood and shared great memories of mom. The weather was beautiful and the sunsets gorgeous. Here are a bunch of pictures from the last few days.

Brother Visit

My family will be gathering tomorrow at Bethany Beach, Delaware to celebrate my mother. My brother and his wife drove down to DC to break up their long trip to the beach. Tonight we were able to take them out to dinner. We had such a fun time catching up and enjoying dinner and wine. So good to see them!

Happy Halloween

We would normally have a Halloween Party with lots of friends, food, wine and fun. But thanks to COVID we had to cancel the party this year. Instead, my husband put on his costume and we went walking around the neighborhood to see the decorations. I did carve a pumpkin though. Here are some pictures from the evening. It was fun but I didn’t dress up.
