Today we spent the day with the Dails. We had brunch and mimosas and candy and wine. It was a fun day and it was great to spend time with the whole family and with Max’s girlfriend. They have tons of birds in their yard so I was able to add more birds to my bird count.

Today I got outside and walked 2.46 miles. It was beautiful! Along the way I took lots of pictures of Spring. Here are a few. It’s nice to have a Spring again!
This morning I got my second Pfizer shot. I’m now fully vaccinated. They did say it would take two weeks before it’s fully effective. I’m willing to wait before we start getting out and socializing like we used to.
Getting the shot was very easy. They were on time and efficient. For most of today I felt fine. This evening my arm is hurting, I have a headache and I’m feeling really tired. Let’s hope that’s all I’ll feel from this second shot. I feel good about my COVID future now that I’m vaccinated. I just hope that the rest of the population will get on board and get the shots. New cases have started to go back up again and that worries me. Today there were 63,825 new cases. Of course that’s too many.

It’s rainy and cloudy out today. I had the window open while working in the office. I kept hearing a Red-bellied Woodpecker screaming outside. I looked and looked and finally found him in a tree nearby. Luckily I had my camera near by with the big lens already on. I snapped a few pictures and was able to get this one. It’s #12 for the year!
