Despite COVID Halloween continues on with a few modifications. Masks are mandatory. Candy is set out on tables or in bowls. No knocking on doors. We took a walk around the neighborhood to see what the decorations were like. Here’s just a little of what we saw.
Fall Leaves
Out on my walk today I saw this beautiful collection of fall leaves. I thought it would make a great picture.
Skyline Drive
Today we drove along the Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah Mountains. We do this each year to see the beautiful fall leaves. The weather was perfect today. We saw lots of colors and beautiful mountains. Here’s our picture. Because of COVID we have to wear masks when we’re around other people but most of the day we kept them off. I made a little video of what we saw.
I Voted!
Because of COVID, we are voting absentee ballot. Today we filled out our ballots and took them to the ballot box at the police station. It felt so good to vote for Joe Biden. I just know he’s going to win. We need someone like him….the opposite of Trump. It’s been a crazy campaign. The first debate was a disaster. I’ve got my fingers crossed.
Family Gathering
Today is my older sister’s birthday. Since I’m in Knoxville and most of my family is here, we decided to go out to dinner to celebrate her birthday. My brother in law took us in his boat to the restaurant. It was fun riding in the boat. We had a good time getting there. It felt good to be with everyone and share memories of mom and celebrate my sister. Makes me wonder if we’ll stay in touch and get together in the future. Mom always worried that we wouldn’t get together when she died. We’ll have to work hard to make sure we all stay in touch.
