So Sad

On my walk today I noticed lots of masks and rubber gloves on the ground. I took pictures of some. It’s amazing how people will just drop them not he ground. Maybe some were by accident but the others should have put them in trash cans. It’s getting to be a mess in our neighborhood. I’m walking a few miles a day now and when I see these, I get sad.

Getting Outside

We walked up to the cathedral today to check out the garden and see the pretty things growing. We were sure to wear masks…and once again my husband has his on backwards. I’m sure he’ll learn soon. Very few other people had masks on. I think more people are going to need to wear masks to help others from getting the virus.

The new cases of the virus are going down a little. Only 29,000 new cases today.

Getting Worse

The virus is getting worse. There were more than 30,000 new cases today! That’s crazy. We are taking more and more precautions when we go out. We are trying not to go out too much. When we go to restaurants we eat outside. We are wearing masks every time we go out. We are wearing rubber gloves and masks when we go to the grocery store. My husband has his on backwards in the photo but he’s learning. I’m thinking of making my own masks. I can learn how to do it. Until then, we’ll use the medical masks we were able to get.

Ouch!

My husband and I were out walking today getting some great exercise. The weather was nice and there were birds flying around. I looked up to see if I could see any around. I wasn’t paying attention to where I was walking and tripped over an uneven sidewalk square. I felt down and got the injuries you see below. Luckily I didn’t hit my head or face. But I did slam my phone into the sidewalk. Clearly it’s not working correctly. So I just ordered another one. It will be here in a few days. I hope the cuts heal soon because they are hurting right now.

Back in the Hospital

Mom is back in the hospital. She’s dealing with some of the same things as last time…excess fluid, swelling, etc. She’ll be fine after she gets some water off her legs and torso. She’s on a heavy duty diuretic. I drove down yesterday and plan to stay awhile. We’ll see how long.

I’m concerned though because of the Covid 19 virus that’s going around. I know we’re in the early stages of a pandemic. I just hope I don’t get it while I’m in Tennessee. I think if I get it, I’ll die. I’ll try to be careful and not touch anything if I can help it.
