Fall is on our door step. The leaves are beginning to change. The temperatures are falling. Clear crisp nights with warm sunny days. Fall is my favorite time of year. Fall is a time of change. Things need to change. It's time. It's a great time to cuddle with someone special.
Catch Up
Weekends are always good for catching up on all the things you didn't have time to do during the week. I was able to talk to 3 friends for a few hours today. I also cleaned my house, did 3 loads of laundry, and ran my dishwasher. I also had time to box up the old iMac. My friend David is going to borrow the old iMac to learn OS X. It's about time he took a look at the great things a Mac can do. He won't switch though, he's PC all the way. Anyway, got a lot of work done. I didn't have any plans this weekend so it was nice to relax. I only have about 40 pages left in the book I'm reading so maybe I'll have a review tomorrow if I finish it.
Long Day
I've had a really long day. I'm not usually up at this time of the evening but this is the only time I have to post at least something today. After a long day at school, we had Back To School Night tonight. It's the time when parents come in and check out the classroom and find out what's going on at school. I didn't get home until almost 9:00. That's about my bed time usually. I think I'll be sleeping in tomorrow. Maybe I'll sleep til 5:00 or 5:30 AM. We'll see.
Thanks for all the comments about the new iMac. I haven't had much time to play with in since I got it all set up yesterday. A few first impressions: It's BIG. It's a lot bigger then I thought it was going to be. The screen is huge and it's so crisp and clear. I've noticed though that the colors on my blog show more like the colors on a PC. Seeing other blogs change their colors and layout makes me really want to concentrate on updating my blog. I really like the way I have it but now that I see the way the colors are showing, I want to change it. Maybe I'll only change the colors. Something to think about. Another thing I've noticed is that his iMac is FAST! It starts up in about 20 seconds. I'm so impressed. All the programs load really fast as well. And since I got a gig of ram, I can load every program I have and they don't slow down a bit. I'm really loving this new computer!
I have to send a big THANK YOU to Patrick, my iChat buddy on the other side of the country. He steered me in the direction of a great deal on a 2 gig memory card for my Digital Rebel. I had it shipped overnight and got it this afternoon. If you are a Mac person, ClubMac has some great deals. I can now shoot 960 pictures at the large size without having to stop to upload pictures to the computer. And speaking of the camera…at the photo shoot on Sunday (I'm working on getting the pictures up!), I shot for almost 2 hours continuously and the little battery charge indicator never dropped below fully charged. Of course I didn't use the flash and I had the LCD review turned off. That saved battery life I'm sure.
That's all for now. I have GOT to get to bed!
Speechless!
Delivered!
I never blog from work but I just checked the Fedex tracking and my iMac G5 is waiting for me at home! I want to go home!
