The Count Begins

Each year I start a bird count. I have to photograph the birds for them to count on my list. The husband and I went out for a walk today and the only bird we found was this beautiful American Robin. He’s #1 for the year.

Bird Count

With a new year comes a new bird count. I start over each year counting the birds I photographed each year. In 2012 I photographed 33 birds. In 2013 I photographed 59 birds. I hope this year I photograph many more new birds. I started out yesterday with a hike with Warren and I saw a good handful of birds but only got three decent photos of birds. So the count begins.

New Birds

It’s a rainy, misty morning in the DC area but I’m still able to find and photograph new birds. Two of them are very common birds but I haven’t gotten a chance to photograph them until today. The third one I’ve been trying to capture for a very long time!
