I went to the dentist today. They had a new hygienist. She was really rough with her work. She made my gums bleed. I was in some pain. I was not happy. BUT I do get to keep my teeth for another 6 months.

My Dentist Appointment
I had a dentist appointment today to get some new front teeth. When I was 8 I knocked out my front teeth in a monkey bar accident. After a series of treatments over the years, I finally got a bridge in 2002. But today it was time to get a new bridge and cover more teeth. In the picture below you can see the temporary bridge they put in. In a few weeks I’ll get the permanent bridge installed. I think these look pretty good and feel pretty good so I’m optimistic that the final look will be just about perfect. I’ll probably have these for a longer amount of time than the first bridge.

Dentist Appointment
This morning I took my dad to his dentist appointment. After an hour and a half of talking about options for taking care of his rotting teeth, we decided he would have some work done, fix some teeth and the partial he already has instead of having all his teeth pulled and getting dentures. He wasn’t too happy I think but it’s the best, most affordable option for his teeth. I hope he goes with that option. I may be traveling back in the future to take him to get this work done. Take care of your teeth when you’re young!!

Today I went to the dentist for a checkup and cleaning. I get to keep my teeth for another 6 months!
