After staying home for so long we decided to get out to a winery today. We met the Dails at Gray Ghost. Masks are now required so we were sure to wear them. We got to taste the new rosé they have. It’s very good. We ate our lunch outside. It felt more comfortable and safe outside. Plus it was a nice day.
Today we went to Gray Ghost to their holiday open house. You get to taste all their wines and enjoy a plate of cheese and crackers and bread. And we got this year’s holiday glass!
In the evening we went to dinner at Tim and Lynn’s place. They moved into DC and we hadn’t visited them yet. They have a beautiful home!
I walked a total of 1.73 miles today.
Today we went to Gray Ghost Vineyards for their annual Cabernet Vertical. We got all dressed up and tasted several vintages of both Cabernet Sauvignon and Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. It was a wonderful evening.
Today I only walked .70 miles. But we were busy.
This evening we went to a vertical wine tasting at Gray Ghost Vineyards in Amissville, Virginia. Gray Ghost is one of our favorite wineries. Each year they have a vertical wine tasting event. A vertical wine tasting is where you taste the same wine from different vintages. We tasted the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve from the 02, 04, 06, 08, and 10 vintages. It’s black tie optional. We always go with the option. We had a great time of course.
Last weekend we went to Gray Ghost Vineyards and helped harvest chardonnay grapes.
