Another year is coming to an end. I’m not one to reflect on the previous year. There’s not much you can change since the time as already passed. You can think about what happened and how it has changed you. I can’t say much has changed this year. Some friends moved on and are no longer in touch. A few new friends have come along. You can never have too many friends. My relationship is as strong as it’s ever been and I look forward to spending yet another year enjoying special times with my partner.

Lots of things have happened this year nationally and globally. I’m sure I’ll remember the re-election of Obama, the shootings at Sandy Hook, the natural disasters we experienced this year as well as many other things. Pop culture items will be forgotten well before other news items.

I’m not sure what 2013 will hold but I’m sure I’ll make it through whatever comes my way. I want to keep learning about photography, posting on my blog, and recording podcasts. It seems like so many blogs have died over the years since I started. It’s a shame. I’ll be keeping mine for memory sake, if for nothing else.

As we do every year, we are having a small dinner party tonight with a handful of friends to help ring in the new year. Here’s the table all set and ready for our guests. Whatever you are doing this evening, have fun! Happy New Year!
