Time for a field trip! My friends and I went to the Kreeger Museum this morning. They had not been before but I’ve been there a few times. It’s right near our condo. The weather was perfect. We toured the house enjoying the artwork and the sculptures on the grounds. Afterwards we went out to lunch. I’m ready for another field trip!
My friend Ross and I went to the Renwick Gallery to see the Burning Man exhibit. While the installations were interesting and fun to look at and interact with, I didn’t leave there feeling like I need to experience the Burning Man event. It was investing to learn about the event and see lots of photos and read a lot about the event though. We had lunch and talked a lot after seeing the exhibit.
I walked a total of 2.17 miles today.
Today I met my friend Ross at the National Portrait Gallery to see the Obama portraits. We saw both Barrack and Michelle. The Barrack portrait was amazing. It was large, clear, and bright. I had a second of emotion while looking at it. It made me wish for better times from his presidency.

So recently I joined a group on MeetUp for guys who are gay and retired and free during the day. We get together for lunches, museums, walks, etc. Today a group of them came to my house for lunch and then we went to the Kreeger Museum after lunch. It’s a private museum and small but I enjoyed the paintings and sculptures we saw. We had a good time and it was nice getting to know some more members of the group.
