Painting Is Done

This whole week I’ve been painting the dining room. It’s taken me five days but I think it looks really good. We went with a lighter color than before. Here’s a picture but I also made a video that I hope to post on Monday. The pictures aren’t on the walls yet but I’ll do that on Monday too.

I walked a total of 3.33 miles today.

In other news, Bruce Springsteen’s 8th studio album was released today in 1987. Tunnel of Love was the last vinyl record I bought. Of course vinyl is coming back these days. I might have it on vinyl again. I got rid of all my vinyl years ago. Springsteen is one of my favorites and Tunnel of Love was probably the last album I loved from him. All the new ones since then just haven’t done it for me.

Supreme Court Nominee

Anthony Kennedy announced a few weeks ago that he was going to retire from the court. Horrible for the people of the United States. Of course this means Trump gets his second pick in as many years. With this nominee, the court becomes lopsided with conservatives. This is scary for gays, women, abortion, workers, unions…everyone. I’m scared. He nominated Brett Kavanaugh, a conservative who clerked for Anthony Kennedy. Look how orange Trump is compared to the white male he nominated.

On a good note the kitchen is finished! I finished painting and put everything back in the kitchen. It looks pretty good but I’m exhausted!

Paint In My Hair

Today I finished up all the trim and the ceiling painting. I also painted the door. While doing the ceiling painting, my head got a little too close to the wet paint and I gave myself highlights! Ha! No worry, the paint came out in the shower.

I walked a total of 2.87 miles today. It was a busy day! More painting tomorrow.

Too Busy for Pictures

Today I got started on the painting job. I needed to wash all the walls to get all the grease off and prepared for painting. Then I taped off the areas that needed taping. Then I started with the trim. By the end of the day I had all the trim done and one coat on the ceiling. I’ll finish that tomorrow. With all the activity today I walked a total of 2.41 miles. I didn’t have time for photos and really didn’t think about it all day.
