Happy Valentine’s Day
Happy Valentine’s Day! This evening we went out to dinner for Valentine’s Day. We went to The Grilled Oyster not far from out house. We had a delicious pinot noir. I really enjoyed it! Before dinner we exchanged gifts. We bot got each other candy. I got simple milk chocolates and I gave him a box of Godiva dark chocolates. That’s what he likes. I made him take a picture with me before dinner.
2.07 miles indoors today.
In other news there was another mass shooting today at a high school in Parkland Florida. 17 students and teachers were shot and killed. Many others were injured. Will this be the one to change the gun laws? Who knows.
Valentine’s Day, Presidents’ Day, and a Snowstorm
Happy Valentine’s Day
What a wonderful Valentine’s Day present! A federal judge in Norfolk struck down Virginia’s ban on same-sex marriage last night, saying it violates the constitution’s guarantee of equal protection. We can’t get married yet because of appeals but we can look forward to marriage equality in Virginia in the future. I think it’s pretty amazing that this is happening in Virginia.
Later this evening Warren and I will be celebrating the victory as well as Valentine’s Day with a special dinner at a local restaurant. What a great day!
Chocolates and Cabernet
Today we went to Gray Ghost Vineyards for their Cabernet and Chocolates event for Valentine’s Day. We had lots of wonderful chocolaty things to eat and pair with the cabernet. I loved it! The boyfriend thought the sweets were a bit much. I ate some of his!
