Obama Portrait

Today I met my friend Ross at the National Portrait Gallery to see the Obama portraits. We saw both Barrack and Michelle. The Barrack portrait was amazing. It was large, clear, and bright. I had a second of emotion while looking at it. It made me wish for better times from his presidency.

They Are All Saved!

I’m sure you’ve seen in the news over the last two weeks about the 12 soccer kids and their coach stuck in a cave in Thailand. Well, over the last three days they have gotten them all out of the cave. The story has been dominating the news for weeks. But now it’s over and they are all safe. Now we can move on to getting all the immigrant children reunited with their parents.

I downloaded a new video app today called Moment Camera Pro. You can control all the individual settings for just $2.99. Here’s a shot where I changed the white balance to be more real. The iPhone camera made the scene more yellow and I didn’t like that so I fixed it. Not sure how often I’ll use the app but it’s no big investment.

Supreme Court Nominee

Anthony Kennedy announced a few weeks ago that he was going to retire from the court. Horrible for the people of the United States. Of course this means Trump gets his second pick in as many years. With this nominee, the court becomes lopsided with conservatives. This is scary for gays, women, abortion, workers, unions…everyone. I’m scared. He nominated Brett Kavanaugh, a conservative who clerked for Anthony Kennedy. Look how orange Trump is compared to the white male he nominated.

On a good note the kitchen is finished! I finished painting and put everything back in the kitchen. It looks pretty good but I’m exhausted!
