Last weekend we were at Tarara for their last concert of the season. Today we went back for a wine pick up party. It took place at their Pavilion. It was okay. There was an opportunity to decorate a pumpkin but we passed on that. After tasting the club wines and picking up our shipment, we went inside the tasting room and tasted the regular lineup on the menu.
I walked a total of 1.53 miles today. I guess I was lazy.
This evening we joined several other wine influencers on Twitter to taste some Virginia wines and to celebrate women in Virginia wine. The wines were pretty good and it was fun chatting with others about the wines. Of course my husband created some wonderful foods to go with the wines.
Today I went outside and walked 1.08 miles.
Day three of our vacation was much like day two…wine tasting! However, day three was mostly about an exclusive private tasting we had at Hanzell Vineyards in Sonoma. Through a wine friend we were able to make a private tasting appointment at Hanzell. They spent two hours with us driving us around the vineyards, talking about the vines, showing us the barrel cave and production facility, and of course tasting the wines. We felt so special and had a great time. Here are some pictures from day three.
