Today we went to our favorite winery for one last time in 2019. They will be closed until the new year. We went because they had a special tasting where they pulled wines from the wine library as well as new releases. We enjoyed all the wines we tasted. One was from 1994. It was amazing how well it was holding up. We’ll return in the new year.
Today I went to a winery to talk with the winemaker, taste some wines and see the vineyards. The weather was crazy. It was 77 degrees in DC. By the time I got to Loudoun County it was 54 degrees. I wore shorts. I was freezing up there on the mountain. The wind was blowing really hard and there was a light rain hitting our faces. The wine was great and we learned a lot about the vineyards but I was freezing!

Today we went to Big Cork Vineyards in Maryland. We went there because the winemaker there used to be at Breaux Vineyards where I’m a club member. We tasted all his wines and they were wonderful. I decided to join the club there! I’m going to have to drop one of my clubs because I can’t afford this every month! But we do enjoy the wines!

Today we went to another winery. I was a club member at Casanel Vineyards in Loudoun County Virginia but let my membership lapse because we didn’t buy a case within the year. So we headed back to Casanel for a tasting and to buy a case to get back in the club. We tasted some really nice wines and enjoyed a bottle of the chardonnay with cheese and a baguette. It was a really nice afternoon!

We haven’t been to a winery in awhile. We decided to go to Delaplane Cellars today. We had wine to pick up. We tasted some nice wines and enjoyed some cheese and bread with a glass of wine afterwards. I got some nice photos with my iPhone 8 Plus. We had a really nice day.
I walked 1.71 miles when we got home today.
