Last night we went to Wolf Trap to see Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis. The weather was beautiful and the music was perfect. I really enjoyed their rendition of Dave Brubeck’s Take Five. We had some nice wine with our dinner while enjoying the music on the lawn. We had a great time!
Every summer we plan to go to several concerts at Wolf Trap. We are able to bring a dinner and wine and enjoy them on the lawn while enjoying the concert. Last night we went to Wolf Trap to see Il Volo. I had not heard of them before but they provided a good show. They sing pretty well and had a diverse line up of songs. At one point during the concert we had a down pour. We do come prepared though. We had umbrellas and ponchos to keep us try. We are hoping this isn’t a trend for the rest of the concerts we have planned to attend this summer. Here are a few pictures from the evening.
I haven’t updated the blog lately so I thought it was time. I took my computer to the Apple Store Genius Bar and they figured out that the graphics card was dead. So I had them replace it. I got the computer back last week and it’s back to working normally. Here’s a screen capture to show everything is back to normal.
In other news, last night we went to Wolf Trap to see Diana Ross in concert. It was amazing! I was really surprised at how good she sounds for her age. And she looked pretty good too. We were sitting on the lawn so we were pretty far from the stage. I took my zoom lens with me and was able to get a few decent pictures of her. She changed clothes like six times. Here are the best pictures of at least four of her outfits. We had a great time!
The boyfriend and I went to our last summer concert at Wolf Trap tonight. We saw The Lord of the Rings The Two Towers. It was shown on a huge screen with all the music preformed live by an orchestra. It was pretty cool.
The boyfriend and I went to a performance tonight. We went to see Face of America: Glacier National Park. It had some great visuals and some really hot guys dancing. I think I’d like to go the Glacier National Park for a vacation. The views are simply amazing!
