Theodore Roosevelt Island

Yesterday on the way home from my partner’s house, I stopped at Theodore Roosevelt Island in Washington D.C. to test out my new camera. I got a Canon Digital Rebel T4i and wanted to play around with it. I took lots of shots of the memorial but found the very overcast, gray day did not help my photos. Here are a few of them. I need to go back on a sunny day and try some more. One good thing about the day was there weren’t many people there and I got some clear shots of the memorial without people in my shots.

  1. Cool! I got a T3i last spring. I’m loving it, but I bought a couple of kit lenses with it and I’m not sure I did the right thing. I should have bought better lenses. What lens(es) do you usually use? I love your photos!

    1. Thanks! Glad you like them! I use the kit lens most of the time…a 18-55mm. I also use my 75-300mm lens for my bird photography. I would like a stronger zoom lens so I can get even closer to the birds but they are SO expensive.
