Happy Valentine’s Day!

I don’t have a husband, significant other, lover, or even a boyfriend. But I do have an interest. The interest is enough for me to enjoy this day.

I did get lots of kiddie valentines at school today. All my students gave me tons of candy and cards. Most of the candy I love but some I don’t care for. I don’t care for it because it’s crummy or anything. I don’t care for it because it’s too rich and high class. I got a box of truffles and a bag of specialty dark chocolates. Most people would probably love these but not me. I’m white trash when it comes to chocolates. I like the plain old everyday chocolates. Hershey’s is a safe bet. You can’t beat a Hershey’s, Mr. Goodbar. But I also like the cheap chocolates that you get at CVS. I don’t know why but I got several of those cheap chocolates today. They come in those little heart-shaped boxes. There are 4 pieces in the box. They are usually filled with those sugary, creamy fillings. I love the orange cream, raspberry creams, or even the marshmallow creams. Yum! They are from no-name candy producers but let me tell you, they are delicious. I wouldn’t think of giving these chocolates to anyone as a gift because they are just too cheap. But I love them! Actually, it’s not a matter of being cheap, I just think they taste better than the more expensive, more exclusive chocolates. I’m weird like that.
