Day Forty Nine of 365

Welcome to my Macintosh Museum! I finally got all my old Macs up and running so I decided to set up a museum in my dining room. Don’t worry, they won’t stay there. I just wanted to set them all up and get them running to shoot a video and take a picture. I’ll pack them all up and put them back in my storage unit until I get the Macintosh bug again and want to play with them. I’m a nerd, I know. I made a video of my Mac Museum.

Day Forty Eight of 365

I stayed home from work today and got a lot of stuff done. I’ve set up my new MacBook. It’s really fast. I love it, of course. I also got to catch up a little on my DVR. I had several weeks of shows on there and was able to catch up on Grey’s Anatomy. I still have several weeks of Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters to catch up on. In time I guess.

Day Forty Seven of 365

My new MacBook arrived on Friday! I tried my best not to play with it over the weekend while the boyfriend was here but I did pull it out and play with it (that sounds dirty) from time to time this weekend. I decided to take tomorrow off just to play with it and set it all up the way I want it. While it’s a brand new computer, it’s actually the same laptop I currently have but it’s got a faster processor, faster graphics chipset, more ram, and a larger hard drive. I wanted this one because it’s the last one that has Firewire. Apple is phasing out Firewire and I have too many firewire devices that use Firewire to get rid of it now. This one will have to last me long enough to have enough money to replace all my devices that use Firewire. Now if Apple would only release a new iMac I’d be really computer happy.

Day Twenty Seven of 365

It snowed today! We got about 2 inches of snow and it was enough to get me out of work. We are supposed to get more snow tonight and then it will change over to ice and freezing rain by the morning. I am hoping it will be enough to give me a snow day again tomorrow.

iLife 09 was delivered today. I like many of the new features except that in iWeb you STILL need to have that awful MobileMe to be able to have comments on your website. The best part is that it will now upload your sites directly to an FTP server. Meta, I know but that’s life.
