About The Header
We are having a Halloween party this evening. We’ve been decorating all day. I even made cupcakes! I also carved a pumpkin. We’ll have a bunch of friends over for an evening of fun. In between decorating today we went for a walk to see the fall leaves before Hurricane Sandy blows them away in the next few days. While on the walk I took lots of photos of the fall leaves. The header above is one of those photos. I decided to update the blog with seasonal colors with the new header. Of course I’ll change it in a few months but for now, I’ll enjoy it. Below you can see some more. I hope you’re having a wonderful Fall season!
Happy Birthday To Me!
I had a pretty good birthday today. I had lots and lots of people wishing me happy birthday at work, on Twitter and Facebook too. It was very HOT today. Here’s a picture of the thermometer in my car showing how hot it was. Also, here’s my new official picture. It was time to update since the last one was taken three years ago. I am now 48. Do I look 48 in the picture?
New Look
Since today is April 1st, I thought it would be a good time to update the look of the blog from the gray winter theme to the Spring colorful theme. The header was taken with my professional camera but here’s a version taken with the iPad.
National Portrait Gallery
Today we went to the National Portrait Gallery in DC. I hadn’t been there in years. It was a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon. We saw some great exhibits. I saw the Presidents exhibit, The Black List, The Civil War, and several others. It would really take a few visits to really see everything in the museum. I’m sure we’ll go back at some point.
