Slug

I have been such a slug today. I slept well last night. I got up about 6:30 and didn't much. Then I went back to bed and tried to sleep some more but didn't. I then got up, turned on the TV, turned on the computer, and wasted time all day. I did eat some breakfast, take a shower and dressed but I didn't go anywhere or do anything. I've sat on the couch and watched TV all day. I just flipped around the channels all day. On Thursday I upgraded to digital cable in my den and bedroom so I have tons of channels to surf. And I surfed them all day. I also didn't talk to anyone today. I didn't get any phone calls and I didn't make any phone calls. Kind of a boring day. I guess sometimes you need days like that. I only have one day left on spring break so I guess I'll have to do all the things I've put of tomorrow. I'll get them all done. I always do. I'll get up early and get them all done with time left to relax and be a slug again.

Another Post

I was so lazy today. I wasted the day. I didn’t leave my house all day. After doing some laundry and reading all the blogs I like to read, I got a phone call from Michael. He had a booth for his company at the DC Home and Garden show this weekend. Last time I watched his boyfriend’s dog for him but this time the dog was taken care of. He needed me to fill out the post cards for him to confirm appointments and thank people for stopping by his booth. So on his way to the show this morning, he dropped off a bag of post cards and all the forms I needed to fill out the post cards. So I spent a little of the day fill out these post cards for him…being the good friend that I am. I also watched disc 3 and 4 of Will and Grace the second season I got yesterday. Again, I love that show. So in the last two days I’ve watched the entire 2nd season. I need a life, I know. But it’s been that kind of weekend.

One more week of work and then I’m off for a week for Spring Break. I won’t be going anywhere for Spring Break. I’ll probably just catch up on things around the house, maybe take the SUV in for service (or at least get it washed), be lazy and enjoy the time off. We’ll see.

Now it’s off to watch Extreme Makeover Home Edition on ABC and the I’ll tape the Sopranos to watch tomorrow. And in bed by 9:00. Maybe I’ll read some of the book. I haven’t read in a few days.

(Thank YOU for the e-mail.)

Will and Grace

Sorry I didn’t write more last night. I was in a bad mood and didn’t feel like writing much. I didn’t sleep too well last night. I woke up this morning at 5:30 am and couldn’t go back to sleep. So I got up and started doing things. I did laundry, ran the diswasher, ate breakfast, took a shower, and made a list of things to buy at Target. Target opened at 8:00 so I was there when they opened. I got all the stuff I was looking for and I happened to see Will and Grace Season Two on DVD. So I got it. I already have Season One and love it. I know many gay men don’t think it’s the best representation of gay life but I think it’s funny as hell. Of course the real stars of the show are Jack and Karen. Unfortunately, Jack does represent many of the gay stereotypes that America recognizes. The best part is that we can laugh at them with the rest of America. And Karen is the best fag hag one could have. All gay men would love to have her as a hag. I love it when she’s Anastasia Beaverhousen! The DVD is full of themed featurettes. They include montages of some of the funniest clips and sayings. I’ve watched two of the 4 discs today. The featurettes are sometimes funnier then an entire episode. No matter. I would love to see an expanded storyline where Will gets a boyfriend. I don’t think his current boyfriend, Vince (Bobby Cannavale), is a good match for Will. Vince sounds and acts dumb. Will needs someone smart, funny, intellectual. Just my opinion. Sounds like I’m a little obsessed but no, I just enjoy a show I can get into. I still love the series and hope it’s around for a while. I’ll probably get the other seasons on DVD when they are released.

I also went to Borders Books this morning. They are having a special educators weekend. Educators get 25% off any books they buy. So I got a few books and some CD’s. I got HTML 4 for Dummies and Blogging. I got Harry Connick, Jr.’s Only You Only You and Norah Jones’ Feels Like Home Feels Like Home. Click on the iTunes links to take you right to the albums on iTunes. Both are good CD’s I think. And the books will help me work on my web pages and make them more interesting. I already fixed the way the archives look and react. I’ve hated they way the archives links display since I started this blog but haven’t learned how to change them. Now I have.

Brad and I are getting together this evening. Hopefully for longer then we did last night. I’ll write about that (and other things) tomorrow, I’m sure.
