The pre-orders for the iPad began this morning at 8:30 AM Eastern time. I was planning on being one of the first but I was in a meeting. So it wasn’t until about 10:30 that I was able to pre-order my iPad. Which one did I order?
I ordered the iPad with wi-fi and 3G connectivity. I got the 64 GB model. I also ordered the dock and an extra power adapter. Of course I had to get the top of the line, right? Good thing my tax refund came in. It will cover the cost. Plus I have a gift card left over from the holidays.
Now I just have to wait until the end of April for the iPad to be shipped. If I had gotten the wi-fi model, I could pick it up at the Apple store on April 3rd. But no, I have to wait until the end of April. I’m ready to wait but of course I want it now. Anyone else order one today?
ALthough I want one, I haven’t placed an order for it. I’ll wait till it’s generally available before I get one. I refuse to pay WA state’s obscene sales taxes. 10% is way too much. I’ll prolly mail order it or take a day trip down to Portland Oregon and have some biscuits and then go pick it up at the store tax free.

I ordered the 64 GB Wi-Fi model yesterday shortly after it went on sale at 8:30 AM. I can’t wait until it arrives. I have it shipping to my parents’ house since I’ll be spending some time with them over Easter weekend.
Me too — I ordered mine yesterday morning about 9;30-I’m having it shipped- I hope it will replace my elderly laptop ( pre intel chip)

Nice! I can’t decide which one I want yet. I’ll have to wait until it’s out to decide if I can really afford it. Wifi + 3G is probably what I’ll get. Maybe just 16GB.

It’s being shipped to me. Still arrives on April 3. That’s much easier than dealing with the Apple Store.
I ordered one today as well, but just got the plain one with no 3G since I don’t think I’ll use it outside of the office or boardroom. Very exciting!
Will you be picking it up at the Apple store or having it shipped?
